OS800
Connects ABB AC800 process controllers through OPC
The OS800 is based upon the GMR100, a well proven PMS operator interface. For communication with the ABB AC800 Process Controller network, an OPC interface has been implemented. The result is a powerful marine operator station with all functions required for surveillance of the controller network:
  • Multi screen support with displays that can be scaled or zoomed
  • Integrated logging system with graphical presentation (all signals)
  • Integrated alarm/event list logger (Prilog) for storage and handling
  • Database with all values presented live with 1 sec update rate
  • Powerful component list utility with extensive tag filtering facilities
  • User friendly interface with different user levels
  • Sophisticated alarm list with tag trigged e-mail/SMS support
  • Custom changeable screen layout and menu interface
  • Historical playback providing full display navigation through the past. The player can be installed on a portable PC and brought anywhere for "off-line" playback

Multi Screen Support
The OS800 supports up to six screens connected to each Operator Station .The user may move the pointing device to any of the screens and the requested display, object, table or utility will pop up on the actual screen selected, or on a pre-defined screen if defined.Process displays can be added at any time. The OS engine, will automatically install new displays stored in the Process Display folder.

Customer design/modification
All displays may be built and modified by the user, from the display tool included in the OS800 Utility SW.

GPR - Graphical Process Recorder
Built into the OS800 is a full process data logger which constantly is logging all signals in the system every second. The signals are written to a hard disk. The GPR Reader may also connect to an exported data file from the system in offline. The GPR Reader may also connect to an exported data file from the system in offline mode. This enables events occurred many years back in time to be replayed and inspected. Export specified data to a file and stored on a CD or a zipped achieve, and send it to a different location for replay and investigation.

Remote Graphical Process Reader
Any PC connected to the IN (Information Network) may connect to a OS800 running the GPR. The Reader has the exactFig.2. The playback controler. same interface as the Recorder, and additionally a Process Reader Player Control Panel. From this Panel the operator may select the mode of reading, if the data should be read as recorded, i.e. true mode, or replayed in historical mode. All process displays and trends will be available for the user to inspect values and signal changes. The player can be positioned to the actual time of an event and the data frozen by the stop button.

Parameter access

All parameters in the controller network may be accessed and altered through the OS800. Typical parameters would be delays and limits, but also parameters as description, alarm group and all system parameters may be set from the OS800 if the operator is logged on with the necessary privileges for the actual system level.

Prilog - Alarm/Event list storage tool
In order to be able to save all alarms and events for later use and inspection, a separate tool is used for this purpose. The Prilog module has a number of power full features for handling of this type of data.
